    Hi All,
Just a warning to the wise... having gone through the long, tedious, arduous process of downloading all the necessary software, setting up of accounts and "DRM activation" server/software interactions (after hours of effort and several failed attempts, due to Adobe's server "not responding" ... I can't immagine doing it with a dial-up connection), I just wanted to WARN ALL WHO MIGHT BENEFIT FROM A FRIENDLY WARNING: I strongly recommend against buying "downloadable" CliffsNotes in PDF format from cliffsnotes.com. (I won't go in to the details of why I use quotes for "downloadable," but see below for some insight.)
CliffNotes are, of course, a valuable study resource. When time and cognitive resources are already wearing thin, a thin book of basics is just the ticket! So do yourself a BIG time-saving favor: go to the store and buy a hard copy of the desired CliffsNotes title, OR use sparksnotes.com (MUCH BETTER if you want a truely downloadable PDF, and there are good reasons to buy a PDF).

As a long-time (8 years) 10hr./day computer dork and web developer I can say that DRM (digital rights management) technology is new and unproven, from a usability perspective. I'm sure it looks great, on paper, for publishers looking for coping strategies in the digital era (epoch?) we now live our daily/economic lives in. BUT, when it come to practical use and usability, it has a long way to go, and technologically it is very complicated, requiring a long series of computer/software intercommunications, and it is quite prone to failure. And you know what happens when you're the ginea pig for complicated new computer communication/identity validation technologies... YOU PAY in ways that you can't always predict. All for the "privilage" of buying online and for protecting others profits, or percieved potential loss thereof.

Best wishes all, and thanks for the invaluable DL info!
