Hi Tom, Can you give me a little information regarding the program in Counseling at UWA? How many reports, online requirments as far as chat, assignments, and are you required to have a proctor for the exams? Thanks for your help.
They offer an M.Ed. in School counseling and an MSCE in Counseling/Psychology. To which do you refer? However, as a general rule, they are comparable to most other programs in that each professor does things a little bit differently. I have not had any courses which required a proctor (but I'm in the school counseling program). Most courses seem to be a mixture of article reviews, tests, and papers (not unlike most programs). Thanks Tom, I am just looking for 15 hours of Graduate PSY courses to teach at a local community college. My Human Services PhD means nothing under SACS. If it doesn't have a PSY prefix it isn't psychology. Thanks again.
They do offer graduate psychology courses. They use a PY designation, but I'm reasonably sure that most any graduate psych program would accept them as equivalent (because they are the same courses). See this link and click on Course Schedule. Tom Nixon
Thanks for your help - of course, if you know of a school where I could reach my objective faster with less cost I would most certainly be interested. The courses should be totally distance learning and I really don't want the hassle of a proctored exam. Thanks!
