Are there any TUI GA's out there?

I know that TUI is not currently accepting new students into the PhD BA program but I wanted to get information about the GA program.

Is anyone a GA or has anyone applied for a GA position with TUI? What is involved in the application?
What are the chances of getting a GA position if you apply?

Any info would be great. Thanks.

 

I'm a GA and have been for two years. TUI cut back their GA program in December by replacing many of us with recently hired faculty. So, you probably don't have a very good chance of being selected. The folks that were "laid-off" will have first crack at any vacancies. Also, you have to be a PhD student in good standing and have completed at least one course. There is a training program. Dr. Wollan is in charge of training and Dr. Watkins is in charge of selecting all Graduate Assistants. I'm sure they can answer many of your questions.
