I was wanting some feedback from someone who is currently enrolled or who has completed courses with the Regis University online MBA program. Upon doing my research, I have found that I like the Regis format better than others, however, I was wanting to hear from others with experience. Other programs I have checked into are Capella, U of Phoenix, AIU, and other St. Louis area colleges. Thanks in advance.

    If your close to Edwardsville

I would do the SIU-E MBA. They have a 10 week class program that lets business undergrads finish in less than 2 years and non-business undergrads finish in less than 3. Would be much cheaper than AIU, UoP, Capela and they are AACSB accredited. There are many other EMBA programs in the area as well. However, they would probably be a LOT more expensive than SIU-E (about $600 per class) or not AACSB accredited.

Regis University has a solid academic reputation. The program is very rigorous and challenging. If you enter this program, be prepared to spend a lot of time researching and writing. Regis U has regional accreditation but the business program is not accredited by AACSB, which may or may not be a factor to you, depending on what your goals are.

    An Ignorant Question

    Cyrus:

I'm sorry to ask what may sound like an ignorant question, but I my goal is to seek an MBA or MS in Management when I graduate. Can you explain the importance of AACSB recognition when choosing a master's level program?

    Thanks.

AACSB accreditation is only important if you want to teach at a school that is accredited by AACSB. Regional accreditation (which Regis has) is the gold standard you will need to use your degree in industry.

    Apologies

Please accept my apologies for the bad grammar. I wrote a 30-page essay this weekend and I'm almost all written out.

I'm only in the Regis undergraduate program, I cringe at the thought of how much writing I'll have to do in their grad school.

    Northcentral U Prescott AZ

Look into Northcentral. It has been accredited for a year and a half.

    jt0819...

Do a lot of research. I am here to tell you that Regis is a rigorous, tough, tough, school! You will definitely work for what you get in the BA or MBA Program, they are recognized, and their format is pretty good.

HOWEVER, they cost a fortune and you can do better for less Money...and if you have a family, stay away because you won't have any free-time to spare! I took one class with Regis...and quit! I finally went to SMSU (in the general geographic area that you are looking at) and paid about $7,700 for an MS Degree, and SMSU is a Tier II School according to US News and World Reports (is Regis a 4th Tier?).

I stumbled onto SMSU, and it fit me...I suggest you research and find something that may be a good fit for you; heck, only you know you!

    Regards and good luck!

Regis U has been ranked by U.S. News & World Report as a top tier western university for several years in a row, unless something has just recently changed.

    Excellent school.

I am a 2001 graduate of Regis University in Denver, Colorado via their master's program in psychology. My experience at this school was stellar. Since then I've had a couple of follow up problems with people in the registrar's office who were new but that's pretty much to be expected. The MBA program has an excellent reputation. It's well worth the money.
