    Masters Degree

Does anyone know of a Master Degree in Education or Political Science that is offered by a accredited college that would accept 15 quarter graduate credits and a lot of life experience in both those two topics. I taught political science courses at a two year college for 16 years, served three legislative sessions as a State Representative, taught high school for 2 years, worked as a lobbyist for 11 years, helped run a US Senate campaign and now have my own political consulting business. I do have 3 BS degrees and many other training certificates. Is it possible to get a Masters Degree with-out having to take anymore classes because of my experience? Thanks for any information!

    Joe14,

you may want to post this question in another forum area to get the best response. You are looking for Portfolio credit at the Master's level.

    Re: Masters Degree

Can't think of any college/university that will grant a masters totally based on experience - unless you are looking for an honorary degree. Some of the foreign research masters require only a thesis/disseratation. Have you looked at Vermont College (part of Union Institute and University) ?

"...with-out having to take anymore classes..." maybe a dream.

    Good Luck !

Accredited graduate programs typically do not offer credit for life experience. The closest thing that comes to mind is Excelsior College's MA in Liberal Studies in which nearly half of the required units (15 of 33) can be transferred from another college.
