Hello, I got a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting concentration from Northeastern University in June 2002. I am kicking myself for not getting a psychology minor. My question is this: would the credits from my NU degree count towards a second bachelor's in psychology pursued through a distance learning program? Would I be exempt from the core/general studies courses and only have to take the required psychology courses to pursue the degree? Or would I have to take all the English, history, math type classes again. I look forward to your response! Thank you very much. clu429
Most schools will require you to take 30 additional credits beyond the orginal credits used for the first BS
Thanks. It could be worse I guess. I noticed you did a BS at Charter Oak. What did you think of their program? They do a fairly independent study based program, right?
What's the chance of taking some DL psych classes and transferring them back to Northeastern for a minor?
At one point I applied for a second bachelors degree to CSU Hayward. They accepted all of my general ed from my first bachelors but asked me to take all of the major units for the new major. (By the time they got around to sending me my acceptance letter, I had already enrolled in the CSUDH HUX program.)
COSC was great. I did not take any classes at COSC, I transfered all my credits from other schools and tests such as CLEP, DANTES, and ECE. COSC does offer classes and they can be done as online, independent (video tape), or group classes. I would contact them with questions; their customer service is unbelievable.
Thanks for your responses everyone. gkillion- that's a great idea. I will check that out. BillDayson - good to know. Randell1234 - I will contact them. Thanks everyone!
