    Hi all,
Just came up of my mind...
Is there any possibility if being admitted in Good Doctorate program with Accredited Master but unaccredited Bachelor.
Let say he/she has Bachelor from state approved university but has a Master from welll known UK or Australian University so how is the probability to be accepted from American reginally accredited or even with big UK or Oz universities for Phd program?

    Thanks
    Eric

    Hi Eric

I would try a slightly different path. It sounds like the Bachelor's has been earned, but not the Master's. I also assume the Bachelor's is from a legitimate but unaccredited school. If that is the case I would work hard to get into a RA Master's program first. Depending on the field I believe it may take some work, but is definately doable. If you can give us an idea of the field and goal, it is likely we could give some suggestions. Best of luck.

Anything is possible. As John Bear points out, gradaute school is all about negotiations.

IIRC, Russell Morris did it, gaining entry into an accredited doctoral program based on an accredited master's, yet having a bachelor's from a "less-than-wonderful" school. I believe he went back and completed an accredited bachelor's.

Rich: Does your research show any *pattern* of this kind of good credentialising
per saltum, so to speak? Will an RA master's tend to repair (if that's the term)
an unA bachelor's--or for that matter an RA doctorate an unA master's?

I'm sorry, no. That wasn't included in the research design, nor could I reasonably infer something from the findings that relates to your question.

From experience, I suspect it is a case-by-case situation. Some hiring managers, I suspect, look primarily at the highest degree while others look at everything. But one thing I have concluded is that most don't look at all. This makes your repair job not only likely, but also unnecessary.

My experience is ancient history ; I wish to draw no conclusion from it :

But I went from an UNaccredited BA into both a Teacher's certification program at one RA school and a MA in a different RA school. Then on the basis of these experiences I was accepted into both EdD work at third RA school* and MDiv/ThM work at fourth RA school. Then the latter got me into a doctoral GAAP program elsewhere.

Safest bet IMO, though, is RA all the way.

*unfinished: Stupidly allowed myself to get an F in Physiological Psychology, so was bombed out--no one is perfect:(

Rich has a good memory on this one. After completing two years at community college and one year at an RA Bible college, I completed the last 32 hours at an UA school. Then, based on the undergrad work, I was admitted to a RA/ATS master's program. The admission was via academic probation since the Th.B. degree was UA, however, after the first semester the probation was lifted. I was then able to gain admission to a RA/ATS doctoral program based on the RA/ATS master's. Then, after completing the doctorate, I completed 36 undergrad hours to earn an RA BA.

Certainly, this route would not work for everyone, but there are exceptions to the rule.

    tHANKS for the reply,

By the way, where did Russel Morris got his less than wonderful BacHelor and how he Entered to accredited Master program?

So you all would say the route is possible.suppose he got the Bachelor from knightsbridge,MSc from UOL then he or she may pursue the Phd from CAMBRIDGE,Harvard or just less reputable school like UOP and touro?
