Does anyone know of any practice tests that are availabe, either online or otherwise, for the Excelsior tests? A small fee is fine, free is better. I would like to get an idea of where I stand before buying the tests packages they sell. Deb

Content guides Yes, the content guides are listed on their website but only one sample question. I was hoping for something more detialed, like the CLEP or DANTES type.
I don't know of anything like that. The best thing to do is to find a text book at your local library that covers the same info that is listed in the Excelsior outline. Then you'll be able to use the practice questions on the same subject matter in the books. Somewhat a pain, but it's free, and better than nothing.

Go to http://www.nationallearningcorporation.com, click "Online Store", and select the category "Regents College Examinations". Many of them are also available from http://www.barnesandnoble.com.
Regents - of course! Thanks! I didn't even think of looking under Regents. I've been the Excelsior site and found the nicely detailed descriptions of each tests but no questions. Can you give me the URL for the ones you are seeing?
The sample questions are in the .pdf files of the exam content guides, located at http://www.excelsior.edu/pub_page.htm#ecx. Most guides contain 10 - 15 sample questions. Of note, the business policy exam is a response (essay) test, and therefore only has 1 'question' (scenario) given.
Topics with essay questions It seems we are both right - some guides do have 10-15 questions. Unfortunately, the three I printed out - American Dream, History of Nazi Germany and World Religions all have 1-3 essay questions. Now that I know that is what they are looking for I feel better using the guides. I just thought there was more out there and I just couldn't find it.
