How much writing is involved for the coursework? CSU says that you will write about 10 pages per credit and this is right in line with TUI. I thought I remember seeing someone say that they wrote 250 pages for a 5 quarter credits class.

Can someone tell me what the average number of pages is per class or quarter credits.

    Thanks.

    Hi Randell,

Each class at Capella has about 12 units. Two papers or essays are required for each unit. The last two units are usually devoted to the final projects. An average essay is usually in the range of 3 to 4 pages with references included.
Some classes have different final projects as some require two short 15 page papers and others one big longer one (about 20-25 pages).

I would say that for a 4 credit course you will write about 80-90 pages.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks, I am on the fence about a PhD in Business or a Certificate in Psychology. I would prefer Psyc but the PhD would seem like the logical next step

    Same post, different place

Yeah I'm sitting on the same post, still looking at Walden though. I just can't decide. Did you mean counseling or a psych certificate. Why not go for that PysD? I'm considering it, but I can't seem to figure out how much my tuition will be per year. Same with Walden. With "normal" school it's so easy and you just take off the summer. credits are usually three per class and I can put together some kind of budget, but with these schools, you can't really get an assistantship and tuition is so darned high, there would be nothing left of my fin aid. arg!
Thinking of trying the Eastern Carolina University masters in academy psych (to get rid of the courses) and then hitting Walden, Capella or even Fielding for the doctoral stuff. You?

    Oh yeah.

Check this out, they are a little vague on the whole "students should really try to come to campus for a one week summer class experience" deal. But if you are in state... compared to the cost of walden of capella or fielding. Pretty cool.
