I search around DegreeInfo's Featured Schools.... It shows that Christopher Newport University offers Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering; it looks exactly the same as Dr. Bears' distance Learning book. When I contact the school, they said they don't offer this degree via distance.

    Does anybody have any idea?

Many years ago, when I first picked up Dr. Bear’s book ”College Degrees by Mail,” I noticed that it read that Eckerd College (in St. Petersburg, Florida) offered a distance learning degree. Subsequently, I made a personal visit to the school to inquire about it. The recruiter severely downplayed the DL program and appeared to be evasive and frankly would not answer my questions directly. She kept trying to push me into their “PEL” (program for experienced learners, which is basically a night school). She finally admitted to me that they did not have a DL program. But I have no idea what that was all about. < shrugs shoulders >

Well, the thing that they don't offer any Engineering courses, not even a Mathematics and Science for Engineering degree.
