Folks, came across this info and thought I would post. Sorry if it is in the archives I couldn't find it but good news for those with unaccredited undergrad degrees... http://www.lis.fsu.edu/Prospects/Grads/ssd30_exceptions.cfm
As a FSU alumnus, I am glad that FSU takes an initiative to give students with high potential (and an unaccredited degree) a chance to get an accredited graduate degree. FSU has a good selection of online master degree programs. http://online.fsu.edu/student/ FSU's school of education is working on a master degree special education online. Hopefully, it is ready by Summer (May) 2004.
Umm... if you read the link it states this is the procedure for those underrepresented (i.e. minorities) in the Library Science Masters program. While I think it may be possible for quality candidates with UA Bachelors to get into non-competitive RA graduate programs, I think it is a lot easier to start with a RA degree even if it is from the Big Three.
Very interesting. This is from the School of Library and Information Science - I wonder if this applies to other schools and departments in FSU.
