Hello all, Well, after many months, now, of keeping a close eye on this site, finding valuable information and getting excellent help from several of you, I've finally decided that I'm going to do my first year's study of Greek via distance learning; I've ordered William D. Mounce's Basics of Biblical Greek (second edition, of course!). Making the choice even sweeter was that Mounce's site (www.teknia.com) notes both the textbook and workbook as being sold at either Zondervan or Amazon: $42.00 for the textbook and $22.00 for the workbook at either Web site ... Mounce's site said. Well, I found out that the textbook was really only selling for ... oh, I can't remember, but I got both books for $50.98. What a steal! Further, I'm going to get the lecture series (33 recorded lectures directly from Mounce's live teaching) on tape for $89.00 that goes through the entire text book. So, for about $150.00, I'm in it! FINALLY! Starkman
Another software package you may want to look into is 'Greek Tutor' by parsons technology. I was using that until the local community college where I live started offering biblical greek (undergrad).
Thanks! Hey thanks Bill and cbryant. Oh, and Bill, if you have any suggestions for getting the most out of Greek (and Hebrew) studies, feel free to post them here for me or PM me. Thanks again, Starkman
