I have found that the Instituto Seneca (a well known provider of Master's by DL) in Spain can award degrees from an American University: Washington International University (a degree mill!), by just adding $ 300 to your total degree tuition (which is around 2500 euros for a Master)

Would like to be wrong, what's your opinion?

Where did you find this information? I looked at the Instituto Seneca site, which was kinda fun considering I can't read a lick of Spanish and I saw nothing there about "Buying" a degree.

    Hello there

You can check it out on the below link

    www.instituto-seneca.edu/master2004/

Once you enter the site, scroll down to "Convenio" (Agreement) and the translation is:

" The Seneca Institute has an agreement with the Washington International University, from the United States of America since 1999 to award the Master in Corporate Communication degree. Students of this institute can access the degree by settling the corresponding tuition fee, which is US$ 300"

Seneca is a well known philosopher. Instituto Seneca in Madrid is a perfect unknown. No question about it. I think they are just trying to recruit students at any expense, and this might seem to them to be a good way. After all, who knows in Europe about these American degree mills?

In the same way you state the Europeans do not know about the American degree mills, I believe you do not know about the European institutions either.

Instituto Seneca is not "unknown" as you mentioned. However, I now trust they are not at all serious having the WIntU as an American partner.

This gives me the idea that all degrees awarded do not have appropriate academc background.

Thank the Almighty you are here to enlighten us all....... :D

Can you find in the Spanish Educaction Ministry database that Instituto Seneca is an accredited degree granting institution?

Besides, there is an old Castilian adage: " Dime con quien vas y te diré quien eres" Or in plain English, "Show me your friends, and I'll see who you are...." What are then the buddies of Washington International University????? ;) :p :p
