If someone earns an LLB or LLM from University of London, how do you think they should put this degree on their resume? I kind of find this confusing since there is like six schools involved in the DL LLB/LLM program at UofL. Bo
This sort of thing has been discussed extensively here (e.g. http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1013). The correct format is something like: LLB, University of London External Programme or LLB, University of London
Once I finally finish MY LL.M., I think I'll have the title tattooed on my chest along with the University of London logo!
Nahhhhh.......I think you should do it on you're forehead. That way you wont even have to bother showing it to people, because everyone you come in contact with will automatically know.
So lets say that someone has earned and LLB or LLM from U of London. Do you think that it would be right for them to put down on their resume: LLB, University of London, lead college: London School of Economics
What would someone who is an Orthodox Jew who cannot get a tattoo do. I can see where your method might come in handy, say I was walking down the beach and I needed a complex legal matter solved post haste, I could see with your LLM from UofL you be just the man. Wow, you could advertise in any country with that and my wife would get arrested in the states for advertising that way. Perhaps I should move to the south of France so I can better find suitable counsel.
There is no lead college for the U of L external law degrees. They are administered by something called the "Subject Panel for Laws". Six (?) of the colleges are on the panel. LSE removed its LL.M. program from the University system. An LSE LL.M. now has different requirements from the rest of the LL.M. programs, and different from the external LL.M. I don't know if LSE is still involved with the University LL.B. I think it is. I won't tattoo my LL.M. on my forehead; I am saving that space for the J.S.D...
So do you guys think this would be okay to put down on a resume for someone that got their LLB or LLM from University of London by DL? LLM, University of London, Faculty of Law The reason why I am asking is because I seen the resumes of people that have JD, LLM and SJD from U of Toronto and because the law school of UofT dose not have a specific name they put down on their resume. degree, University of Toronto, Faculty of Law
You don't really NEED to say that the degree is in law...like theology, law has degrees that are unique to it.
