Are there any online/distance learning schools in the world that do not require a student (for example) to take at least 30 credits at their institution. No one that I know seems to have an answer to this question. I guess I will have to end up with 170+ credits for a Bachelor's Degree. Any help would be appreciated, and golden.

The Big 3 (Excelsior College, Thomas Edison State College, and Charter Oak State College), Western Governors University, and Athabasca University require 0 credits from them to get a degree from them.

British Columbia Open University requires 6 credits from it.

Northeastern Illinois University requires 15 credits from 1 of 5 Illinois universities.

All other colleges require 30 credits from them.

A search on any or all will give you all and more than you desire.

Useful information (although I hope I'll never need to use it <g>); thanks for posting!

    Skidmore College's UWW program.

I have came across a couple other programs that don't require a full 30 credits, although they do require 24 or 27  . For the most part I believe your statement is correct. With one caveat. Many colleges require more than 30 credits to be earned through them.
