    Hello,

Is this another degree mill? They seem to be in China (probably in Hong Kong?) and offer american instruction for international students?

    Anyone knows about them?

They have tried to advertise in Australia and have been told to stop. It is illegal for them to do so in Australia.

    Cheers,

    George

It would be helpful if you could provide more than initials. All I can think of is Western Illinois University, http://www.wiu.edu -- not in China, and certainly not a mill.

This would be the new (to me, and I think to this forum) wonder at
    www.usawiuedu.com.

The first few things to note are
    1. Their USA campus is in a mailbox rental service in Delaware.
    2. Their accreditation is from the dreadful World Association for Universities and Colleges.
    3. Without any recognized US accreditation, their use of their degrees would be a criminal offense in some US states.
    4. I could not find names of any humans either on their website or their URL registration.

The Wayback Machine shows http://www.usawiuedu.com going back to July 2002. That may be its creation date as well, since it said then it was "a member of" WAUC, but was not mentioned on WAUC's institutions page in February 2002. It has been "fully accredited by" WAUC since April 2003. It has recently changed its name from "InterContinental University of Washington" to "Washington InterContinental University": WAUC's institutions page http://www.web-hed.com/wauc/universities.htm shows the new name "Washington InterContinental University", but alphabetized under "I".

Shouldn't you be checking the Websites of all the bogus accreditors for mills you might have missed?
