Hello, I am looking for a list of specific schools DETC that have concrete alliances with RA schools. I am aware of several but would like to see what others know. Thanks for the input and new ideas. Hille

    RA / DETC

Columbia Southern University is connected with both North Alabama and West Alabama Universities.

For what it's worth, I think anyone looking to earn a Bachelor's degree or Masters degree should check out Columbia Southern Universities program. They really do offer a good program now.

    Re: RA / DETC

Why would someone choose CSU for a bachelor's or master's degree when they could earn a regionally-accredited degree for, in some cases, similar cost?

And, no, I'm not attempting to start that incredibly long-winded argument about DETC vs. RA. However, given the limited utility of a DETC degree, it would be wise to explore what that DETC school offers that you can't get elsewhere.

I should note that I've defended DETC as an institution here before and have even listed several schools that I believe (for what that is worth) are comparable in quality to RA schools.

    RA / D.E.T.C

I'm not attempting to tell anyone to choose a DETC school over a RA school.
The point that I was attempting to make was don't be afraid to check out a DETC school if it offers the program your looking for, and to weigh your options.
From personal experience I have graduated from three seperate RA schools and two seperate DETC schools. If your the type of student who doesn't need the classroom experience to learn your desired field, then I think there are some DETC schools that offer an excellent option.
Columbia Southern University some years ago did not have the best reputation for it's educational programs, however it is my opinion that this school has turned the corner and is now offering some very fine degree programs.
I must say that I did earn a Masters Degree from Columbia Southern University, however I don't work for them now or in the past. I'm sure there are other fine schools out there however I don't have any first hand experience with those.
It really isn't my attempt to turn this into a commercial for them either, just a suggestion.
I'm curious, how many other DETC schools out there are connected with RA schools?

    Hi Hille,
What do you mean by 'concrete alliance?' Are you asking about situations similiar to the CSU-UNA program? Or are you asking about 2 and 2 articulation agreements (and/or similar setups?)
