IUP is a member school int he Pennsylvania State Univeristy System. It is located in a senic area of western Pensylvania, about one hour east of Pittsburgh. The area is part of the coal mining area of Pennsylvania. Indiana, PA is a charming little city, that is basicaly your typical college town.

And yes, I have been there several times.

As to the college, nothing remarkably one way or the other. Fairly typical midwestern state univeristy.

Question: Is this a DL program? It does not read that way.

    Thanks Mike

Thanks for not letting my question "sink." This is, in fact, a summers only residence program if someone chooses that option. I have thought about this PhD for quite some time now. I took on a high school teaching position so that I could get the summers off. Hoping this will allow me the academic freedom I need right now.

I contacted Karen Dandurand (sp?) a while back about the MA program. She seemed very helpful, indeed.
