    Hello,

I was accepted into 3 different DL MBA programs. The programs that I was accepted are Bellevue U, U of North Alabama, and U of Dallas. However the U of Dallas MBA is double the price of the Bellevue and North Alabama MBA. Is it really worth all that cash? I would like to hear other peoples opinion on this issue.

What kind of reputation does each schhol have?
Does each school have the same accrediation?
What is the difference in price?

I think the bottom line is what YOU are confotable with. Meaning do you feel that you would get a better education at one school vs another.

I went through the same think when choosing SUNY ESC vs Touro.

    Good luck with your decision.

I am not 100% sure about this but I think that when it comes to reputation UNA and U of Dallas are pretty much on the same level. Again I am not completely sure about this so if I am wrong please correct me.

Bellevue and UNA have RA accreditation. U of Dallas has AACSB.

U of Dallas is double the price of Bellevue and UNA.

I think that the DVD learning system offered at UNA sound really good and I would learn a lot from it. Also UNA has 8 week term so if I work really hard I could probably complete the MBA in 16 months, but the U of Dallas MBA can not be completed in less then 2 years.

Let me know what you think guys.

When I was going for my BA, I dreaded the fact that TESC was the only school that I could afford and it was only one out of the four schools I applied to that would take my credits from the military and accept my enrollment. I thought that I was wasting my time and money!

Now, I have enjoyed career advancement and promotions far beyond my expectations, I have went on to a Graduate Program, and I am embarking on a PhD in February. A TESC Degree has never stopped me from being accepted in either Industry or Academia as long as I did the work and got the grades. I say that to say this...although the school may seem obscure in name and reputation, as long as it has a proper accreditation (RA, GAAP, ACCIS, ABA, or whatever Floats your Boat) then you can't go wrong but you have to be sure it will get YOU to the place that YOU wanna go! I always say, unless your comparing your choice against Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Brown, etc...then go with what will get you to your goals the fastest/cheapest way possible!

    Regards,

Is it the University of Texas at Dallas? That school is AACSB, but I am not completely sure that this is the same school as U of Dallas - Do you have a link?

I am referring to the U of Dallas in Irving, TX. I don't have a link but I do have a latest edition of John Bear's book The Best MBAs by Distance Learning and in the book Dr Bear mentions that U of Dallas MBA is AACSB.

hey bo79....just to clarify.....University of Dallas is not AACSB accredited......at least they werent in September when i applied....furthermore, i emailed a representative from AACSB regarding UofD intentions to become accredited. They informed me that the university had been droped from the candidate status and are no longer being considered.

    Hope this helps.

    UNA would be my choice!

Thanks for you're help Elyko. Do you exactly why they were dropped from candidate status? I guess since UofD is not AACSB accredited then UNA would probably be the best choice. BTW where did you end up going for you're MBA?

I just started my MBA with Walden and so far has been a little overwhelming...since its my first dip into DL.....but has been great......wasnt my first choice but considering i had a 3 year bachelor from canada walden was one of the few schools that would accept me without me having to take a boatload of prerequsite courses....overall its been pretty good so far....im pretty happy with it as of now...my feelings may change......UNA would be my choice because i like the DVD format of the lectures...at least on the surface its sounds interesting!!!!

good luck on wherever you decide to pursue your graduate studies!!

How has the delivery been so far?

    Elyko
I received a packet from Walden when I started thinking seriously about starting a PhD Program! How is the delivery of the courses/the format thus far? This was a question I could not seem to get any answers for when I was doing my search.

    Thanks, and good luck!
