Please beside answer some of my questions below , also give me some valuable sourses of information like Google , CNN , ABC ...news or reviews about UOP .

I am seeking for a quality and regional acredited distance learning degree to start my career .And I am interested in University Of Phoenix ( UOP ) .However , I would like a lot more informtion about that school ,its updated qualification of accreditation. Its reputation so far after getting accredited .
And I don't have any much more other sourse of infomation about school beside its own advertisement ,website and a little review from CBSnews and Princeton Review. Also I don't found University of Phoenix in DegreeInfo.com search database of reliable regional arredited school .Wonder If you can tell me why UOP is not in your database ?
I am looking for a degree in Finance Specialization, and a friend told me about www.AACSB.Org ...but is it a reliable accreditor . It's not a regional accreditor ,right ? UOP is not its accredited member anyway ? Why ?

UoP is RA and has been since 1978 (or somewhere around there).

Kelyaivo - AACSB is a professional accreditor. They don't the job of a regional accreditor - their accreditation comes on top of regional accreditation.

UoP is not accredited by AACSB. Why? For one, they probably haven't applied. For two, they probably wouldn't qualify if they did apply. Schools such as UoP employ too many adjuncts, don't conduct research, lack the curriculum and a host of other things that AACSB won't accept.

UoP isn't the only DL school that isn't AACSB accredited. Many of the schools we talk about in this forum aren't. There are, however, a number of AACSB schools that do offer DL programs.

Do be aware that the highest ranked business schools in the U.S. (take your pick of ranking lists) are AACSB accredited. A second accreditor, ACBSP, accredits lesser schools.

Is there a place for non-AACSB and non-ACBSP schools? Apparently there is a market for such schools. A fair number of mid-career folks pursue degrees from such schools and find them worthwhile.

    Regards - Andy

    Professional Accreditation

Those are good questions, but first distinguish between regional accreditation (University-wide for example) and professional accreditation (Program-based).

Welcome to the forum. I suggest using the forum's search feature for more information. UoP has been discussed many times before here.
