I'm enrolled in an advanced financial course, via DL, at a major RA university. Although I get my homework grades on the Internet quickly, the university waits at least 5 days to mail my homework back to me.
My concern is that in each chapter, there is a continuous homework problem that is carried on each new chapter. I can't complete the next chapter until I get back the previous chapter's homework. (BTW - Each of the 4 homework problems in each chapter has at least 20 parts to it.)
IMO, this is very time consuming. I work fulltime plus work extra hours. In addition, I must complete continuing education requirements for a certification. I only enrolled in this course to learn more. I am not a degree-seeking student.
I'm sure other DL students are in similar situations. There is a time limit to this course. I've completed many DL classes and never encountered such an issue.

Anyway, back to the books. Thank you for your advice.

That is interesting - I have never hearad of professor's print out assignments, grade them, then mail them to you? Do you know if thi is how all of the classes are, or is it at the descretion of the professor. I have never experienced this at any of the classes/schools I attended.

Since you are going for self interest, maybe pick another school. Good Luck!
