    Greetings everyone:
First, I would like to commend those who created this site and those who disseminate such useful information I've come across so far. Thank you all very much.
I'm considering an online Phd with Walden University. However, my main concern is that I've been in the Air Force for 13 years with no civilian experience...plenty of Iraq experience...lol. Yes, in the Air Force I'm a highly disciplined individual who seeks leadership positions, however, will I really benefit from an online phd in the civilian sector when I retire at 38 years old? Any thougts/recommendations/suggestions would be much appreciated.

Don't think you will have any problems

I don't think that you will run into any problems as you have both educational and military background. So on your resume, you can demonstrate the activities that you have been involved with through the military, and that you have kept up with education. Sure, it might take you awhile to get use to being in the civilian world as you have been involved with the military for a large part of your life. However, you have plenty of years ahead of you, and I would say for you to go for it! Also, bear in mind that you bring valuable experience from the military that can be useful for the civilian world -- and I think in time it will be a good balance for you. Good luck!

Military experience + Good education = Great opportunities.
I would try some of the federal agencies.
    Good luck
