Has anyone ever attended their PhD program in Organization Development?

It looks interesting, but it's expensive (90k for three years). They (the school) says that the program is internationally known and well respected, but this is the 1st time I've heard of it or the school.

Any comments about the school or the program would be greatly appreciated.

Just a curiousity question -- are you looking to pursue another Ph.D. after Temple?

No. I don't plan to pursue another doctorate. I actually just started the Temple program. My concentration is in education. However, I would like to focus more on OD.

    Good afternoon!

In my opinion, Dr. Peter Sorensen at Benedictine is one of the top scholars in the field of organizational development and change. He is the past chair of the ODC Division in the Academy of Management, and his research work in this field is quite interesting, to say the least.

Some scholars can be somewhat unapproachable, but Dr. Sorensen answered a couple of queries from me in a thoughtful, prompt manner. This bodes well for the prospective student in the Benedictine program.

Good luck in your search for the right program!

    Good afternoon again!

After posting my response a few minutes ago, I went to the program's site at http://www.ben.edu/odhome/ on the web. I looked at the Faculty/Staff page, and I was amazed to see so many top people listed as "Distinguished Visiting Scholars" in the program. The list is like a "who's who" of organizational development and organizational behavior scholars. Andy Van de Ven, Chris Argyris, and Jean Bartunek are some of the superstars among a stellar cast contributing to this program.

    Wow!
