Mark's Attending Unisa Page: http://marksykes.netfirms.com/unisa/unisa.html Okay, the books actually arrived back in mid-February, but taking a full time load for my Associate's concurrently with starting 5 classes for my Bachelor's, along with the dial-into-work stay-at-home Dad thing put a squeeze on my time. Does anyone know who won the Superbowl this year? This installment describes (with pictures!) what Unisa sent (and didn't send) after registering for five classes in the undergraduate mathematics program. I have since then completed some of the assignments and will soon receive feedback on my work; this I will detail in another installment. As always, if you have comments or questions, post back here or email me at [email protected]. Mark A. Sykes
Thank you for providing this invaluable service to us -- I remember wishing (in 1996, when I applied to a UNISA program) that this sort of resource existed. Peace, ------------------ Tom Head www.tomhead.net
I'm glad to do so. I initially learned about distance education in 1996 (through a Bear's guide) and Unisa sounded...interesting but there just wasn't much more information to be had. Everyone had heard of it, but noone had stories. There's still lots more to discover and bring out to the open, like how will Thomas Edison State College's partnership with Unisa change things or how valuable is the credential once in hand. If I face a lot of angst and disdain with my degree, I'll make sure others know. Mark A. Sykes
