Hello, I am new here. Nice to meet you all!

I am interested in getting some formal training in surface design. Is there any degrees I could study online?

When you use the term "surface design" I'm assuming you're referring to textiles/fiber arts? If so then you may want to look at the degree programs in art offered at:
    Atlantic Union College
    Burlington College
    Caldwell College
    Good luck,
    Jack

Maybe I should tell you a little bit more about my interests...

I am interested in designing (in digital media) for different products: textiles, giftwrap, ceramics, wallpapers etc, but I feel that I should get some formal training in this. I am not quite sure what would be best... textile design, graphic design, interior design...? Something that would teach me the basics in commercial art and help me get some more freelance work.

    If anybody has ideas, please...

    Thank you.

    Adding to recent...

I can see that for instance The Art Institute Online offers a lot of nice degrees, but they are too expensive for me. Anything cheaper but still worth the time?
