I just posted this in response to another discussion topic, but I want EVERYONE to see this!

An unrecognized, Austrailian based university that cannot accept Australian students, has a cooperation with a recognized American university??!!!

That's right, Berkeley Internatonal University Australia claims a cooperative with the nationally accredited (ACICS) Lincoln University! Have a look:

    http://www.berkeleyuniversity.net/faq.html

One other thing to point out about this web address. Try entering simply
http://www.berkeleyuniversity.net and see what you get.

This link shows a letter (supposedly?) sent from Lincoln University that states: "... we will accept your students into our campus to finish their final modules...".

Better get your reading glasses out as the letter is fuzzy and a little hard to read.

    Please post some comments.

    Futhermore:

There is no mention (or as least so far as I can tell) of their cooperation with BUI. Not under affiliations or even their seach engine when I entered Berkely International University.

This brings to mind three possibilities:
    1. BIU's claim is a flat out lie and they, perhaps, falsfied a Lincoln University letter.

    2. Lincoln is pulling a dirty trick and is afraid of losing ther accreditation if *too many* people discover this cooperative.

    3. Lincoln, at one time or another, DID have a cooperative with BIU and discovered they're uselss.

Furthermore, berkeleyuniversity.net is registered to a Hanny Franky (sic) in Kuningan Jakarta Indonesia. Quite multi-national they are.

Also, they're source is one joker.com.

    lol

Well, if it is a degree mill, then I wish more can be done to expose it properly.

Funny as it does appear to be, it conceals a very dark and gloomy texture underneath it all. People actually do get victimized, and I am not talking about those who go in with their eyes open; I am talking about unsuspecting parents who think their son/daughter is getting an actual degree and try to pay it off from their life savings.

On a side note, it's interesting how almost all degree mills try to stress on the fact that "Accreditation is a Volentary Process", or make accrediting agencies that don't exist (in the legitimate sense anyway)... It's unfortunate... degree mills operate because there exists a "niche" market and/or legal loophole for such activity. I guess more needs to be done globally, in order to educate people that fake degrees are just that: fake… and that there is no “free-lunch” in life…

Well I don't know anything about either school but I suppose that one possible next step would be to make inquiries with Lincoln about this arrangement. Would you be willing to follow through?

    Jack,

Yes, I am willing to follow through. In fact, I will call the school the tomorrow (Monday Dec. 29). I'll keep you posted.
