There's an article on the Quackwatch list about The Union Institute. Further contained on that link is a reference to Thomas Edison State College.

Interestingly enough, Quackwatch believes that The Union Institute and TESC are dubious schools. BOTH of those schools are RA. How could they believe they're dubious? Granted, they are non-traditional, but that seems to be the only basis for their claim.

If articles like that keep popping up, Quackwatch ought to place itself on it's own list.

Quackwatch, which started out more calmly, is a case of generalizing zealotry from a goal (exposing quack medicine) into a personality structure.

The problem with this sort of thing is that one moves from thinking everybody else is ignorant, to thinking everyone else is apathetic, to thinking everyone else is wrong, to thinking everyone else is evil, to thinking everyone else is out to get 'em.

    Examples abound.

The good folks at quackwatch say:

I view the following with considerable distrust. Unless otherwise indicated, they are based in the United States.

Among the many listings one can find:

    Bastyr
    Union

    To which I reply:

I view, with considerable distrust, the ability of the folks at quackwatch to discern between legitimate and quackery.
