I need to take the Macro and Micro Economics CLEP tests. Can someone that has taken them recommend the right study material?
    Thanks,

    Monte

I am taking both macro/micro econ CLEPs in January. I am currently using:

    1) The Economics VHS tapes from thestandarddeviants.com
    2) Kaplan AP Macro/Micro-economics Test Prep book
    3) and a couple of quick review study guides from either Cliff's or REA - don't remember off the top of my head.

Thanks for the reply. Did you pick those study guides per some recommendation?

I would also like to hear from someone that has taken these tests to learn what you used.

    Thanks,

I have had pretty good success using the tapes to get a broad overview of the material, so that was my own call. The humor they use is really corny (although ocassionally, there is something that is geniusly, side-splitting funny). But they are easy to digest, and I'm all about that. :)

    The books were just happen-stance.

Here is another recent thread that you may find of interest:

This should be of some help.

I have used Barron's EZ-101 Study Keys for many of my exams (30+ so far) and they have served me well (scored >68 on all exams).

I love anything by Barron's for all the examination by credits. I used the Barron's Business Review Economics for both tests (half is macro half is micro). Barely squeezed out an A on each one. :)

Thanks for the Barron's suggestions. I had forgotten about them.

There is the Barron's Business Review Economics, then there are two separate ones for macro and micro.
Is the Barron's Business Review Economics basically an integrated set of the two?

Thanks to all that replied. More than enough resources to get me started.
