    Hello..........to all.

    I need some assistance please.

I am a student finishing up over at Excelsior College, and I had decided to sub a course.

The course I want to now take (or find) is a course in OCEANOGRAPHY, in order to finish up my degree program.

In their DL database.....I could not find anything...directly however.

The unique situation is that I am very heavy in Geography & Meteorology courses.
Which sometimes "oceanography" can be classified under - depending on the university and department.

However, "oceanography" is technically / usually classified in GEOLOGY.

Can anyone suggest any DL colleges/universities which I can take a course in this subject via correspondance, which will not cost me an arm and a leg.

    Thanks
    Jay

In the 'arm or a leg' department:

Oceanography C101 at the University of Washington.

Telecampus lists some courses (type oceanography in search box on right-hand side).

Go to http://www.cvc.edu/catalog/course_browses.asp?how=refine&sub=34&sort=Title&page=1&pagesize=10 and type in oceanography
A couple of courses are via internet and proxctored exams.

The Open University in the UK offers an Oceanography course. May or may not be of interest, I dont know the costs and study implications for OU study in the US

The University of Northern Colorado lists Oceanography 110-053 as an Earth Science course at their Independent Study web-site.
