I appreciate comments like this from real students. What are online Ph.D./DBA programs in business actual students are VERY positive about?
    - UoP?
    - Walden?
    - Capella?
I already have an MBA, so would like to use the PHD/DBA to study some subjects in more detail:
    - Organizational Theory,
    - Criminal Law/ Legislation/ Public Policy
So a degree program that offers a lot of flexibility in preparing for my dissertation would be great.

I'm very positive about Nova Southeastern University. I think the school's size (500+ DBA students). full-time faculty, excellent library, required residencies (you really see faculty/peers face to face), well defined dissertation track and new facility are all good reasons to support their program. NSU has been around for a long time as well. As a non-profit, more of your tuition dollar goes into education and less goes into profit, taxes and marketing expenses.

Some students may prefer the others you list - they are certainly entitled to their preference. However, for my money I'd take NSU over the three you list (snf NCU and Union). The only other alternative I may consider higher is Case Western. If you have $30k plus per year to spend - Case may be a better choice.

    Regards - Andy

I didn't know that Case Western had a DL doctoral program. Do you have a link?

It is not a true DL. It requires a visit every 4 weeks for the 3 years.

I am completing my third (and final) year at Grenoble Graduate School of Business. I have enjoyed the process very much. This is still a pilot program, and the school never plans on having a very large doctorial program – but if you are looking for a DBA that is part-time, from a prestigious school and that also gives you experience in the European Union you may want to consider it.

I don't want to get too off topic, but isn't the Grenoble program degree actually awarded by the University of Newcastle upon Tyne?

Grenoble does have a joint program with Newcastle; however, I am not in that program. I am in the “Grenoble only” program. This is still a pilot program – so there is not a link on the website. If you would like to know more about the school the website is:

I you have any questions about the program I am in just contact me.
