I received a degree (MA in Education) from Cal State Hayward online. It was great. No residency and it carries the Hayward name which is accredited and is a state college in California

:) I am working on my Doctor of Education through the Fielding Graduate Institute. I'm pleased with the program--it's regionally accredited and highly flexible. The only residency requirement is a 5 day orientation held several times a year in different locales around the U.S. I know of one student in Thailand and one in Japan who are currently enrolled. The school seems quite open to working with students who live outside the U.S.

Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Instructional Technlogy from La Sierra University. It is not a DL degree, but La Sierra offers an M.A. in Instructional Technology and an M.A. in Teaching, which also satisfies the requirements for the California Professional Teaching Crendential.

Both masters degrees can be completed 100% online and are WASC approved.

Do you know if aomeone with an BSEE (3 credits from a Math major) degree and an MA in Teaching from La Sierra University can teach Math for K-12? My mom has toyed with this idea.

    Thanks

She would very likely be able to get a single-subject credential and teach math at the secondary (7-12) level. If she wanted to teach elementary (K-8), she might have to complete some additional courses in the liberal arts.

Of course, the school's credential analyst would need to look at her transcripts to see if any additional subject-area course work would be required for either credential. The MA in Teaching coveres all of the required education classes.

    National-Louis U (RA)

As I have posted elsewhere, I am nearing completion of a master's in Adult Education from National-Louis U in Chicago, formerly the National College of Education. It's a cohort-based DL program of some 15 months, and has been great. Invigorating, though expensive. It's coming at AE from grassroots education and social justice, not human resources management.
