Well, I just finished an MBA from Morehead State University (KY). It took two years of non-stop coursework. And that was after two non-stop years with Valdosta State to get an Ed.S. So, four straight years of grad school are over. This is from a recent job ad I saw: "The college (Morehead State) has recently completed the candidacy period for AACSB International and awaits a tentatively scheduled initial accreditation visit in February of 2004." Soooo, that means (I hope!) that Morehead State is on track to become an AACSB program sometime after February! One thing I learned was that doing this will mean an instant salary bump for faculty. Did not know that! Like any other college, there are some great instructors and some not-so-plugged-in ones. It's a pretty traditional program. Lots of papers in certain courses; lots of knuckle-crunching in other courses. All-in-all, they pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me work. Now, don't trust me to do a company's books... haha... But then again I am a computer information systems guy. One of the appealing things for me was the program allows you to concentrate in an area like CIS or accounting. Here is the website: http://www.morehead-st.edu/colleges/business/mba/ Let me add that I started with an online Ed.S. from Valdosta State in January 2000. Four straight years later, I have two graduate degrees! Boards like this helped me make the decision. I could not have done this any other way, so you could say I am an evangelist for online learning! In fact, that is what I do in real life. Prior to this, I had completed a face2face masters degree and bachelors degree twenty years earlier. The online work I did was comparable or even HARDER than any of the work I did face2face in traditional universities.
