If someone completed an EdS, would those credits transfer to a EdD or PhD?

In most cases, the answer is yes if you are to enroll for EdD at the same school that awarded your Ed.S.

As Ike stated, this is usually the case if you enroll with the same school. At Nova (In the Org. Leader Program), 18 hours will be applied to your Ed.D. from your Ed.S. with approval from the program Director.

If you go to another school, you still may be able to transfer 6-9 hours depending on the school.

Its a good idea to wait until NCU starts its EdD or PHD in education. Will be an easy EdD or PHD !;) just answer 1~2 questions at the end of the chapter ... here you go with a PHD !!!

Many, if not most, schools should accept your EdS units into a doctorate in education. An EdS is considered a "post-masters" degree, so if you took the same courses in your EdS program that are required for the doctorate, you should be able to have those courses waived.

My school (La Sierra University, Riverside CA) actually has two options for the EdD. If you have an EdS or equivalent, you take 45 fewer quarter hours than if you have just an MA.
