The new site is very professional and attractive. It definately adds to their perceived credibility. It would be nice if they would offer majors instead of General Studies degrees with concentrations. Since EC is able to doso I wonder what is preventing COSC from doing so.
yes I really wish they do. COSC would be my first choice for BSCIS if they offer it and I wont have to go to EC.
Recently, while an interviewer was looking at my resume, I was asked, "Sooo, you're a business major?" I had to explain that my college does not have a 'major' program - it has a 'concentration' program. This was the only time I was asked and he didn't appear to care. However, I would much prefer not having to think about how I word my resume and answers so as not to mislead, yet still show legitimacy.
would Excelsior's BSCIS be considered a major in Information Systems, right ? I dont want any concentration stuff.

I am not familiar with that particular major, but I would have to say YES, since the only degree they offer without a major is the liberal studies degree - and even that one is written like a major (BLS).
