I am wondering if anyone can offer some advice on the best method for me to complete my bachelor's degree. I have 105 semester hours, all from accredited residential schools, with a major emphasis in political science. I currently live in Illinois and am looking for a program that would allow me to complete my degree by distance learning if possible. I have found some programs but they would require me to take courses beyond the 15 credits I need in order to fulfill minimum residency requirements which creates additional expense that my family and i would like to avoid. Thank you.

Northeastern Illinois University requires "a minimum of 15 semester hours of course work completed at Northeastern Illinois University alone, or in combination with course work completed at any of the universities that offer the Board of Governors Bachelor of Arts Degree Program."

It would probably be cheaper than the Big 3.

Charter Oak does offer a PS program (36 credit concentration).

Thanks for the replies. I would also consider completing coursework to obtain a BA in general studies if I knew of one with similar residency requirements allowing me to complete the 15 credits I need. Does anyone know of a good general studies BA program ? Thanks again.

The aforementioned 'big 3' all have either liberal studies options and COSC has an Individualized Sudies concentration that can be just about anything you want, so long as you meet there basic requirements.
