Hello, I just have finished reading the DL MBA information packages that I have received from the following schools U of Nebraska, Cameron U, Liberty U, Stephens College, Baker College, Brenau U, Concordia U Wisconsin, Dallas Baptist U and Embry Riddle Aeronautical U. I must say that they all sounded like very good MBA program. I would like to hear other peoples opinions on the MBA program from any of these school. Thanks
Brenau is known primarily as a women's college, although they do offer distance programs to include us males. Just something to keep in mind, this may or may not be important to you. I could be wrong, but I think Embry Riddle's MBA specializes in the aviation industry - also something to keep in mind. From a name-recognition standpoint, Nebraska and Wisconsin leap out as being stronger than the others. Wisconsin's business school (Madison) is ranked by Business Week in the top 100. Wish I could add more value, but alas, I'm not familiar with the inner-workings of the programs you've mentioned. Cheers.
Liberty's MBA is changing to an online format. Beginning January 2004 the MBA at Liberty will have the following characteristics: 1. Online Blackboard format. 2. 8 week term. 3. All testing will be totally online. 4. Courses will consist of up to 20 students who will be required to interact with the professor and other students on a weekly basis. 5. A one-week intensive in residence in Lynchburg is required for the capstone course, BUSI 690 Policy and Strategy in Global Competition. Each course has been a challenge for me. A Christian world-view is emphasized in all classes. Previous video taped classes commenced and concluded with prayer. According to my advisor there are approximately 300, students enrolled in the MBA program at Liberty.
Hi Charles, Will it still be possible to do the Liberty MBA 100% online? Do you know what the cost will be of the new program and how long will it take to complete? Bo
did you receive package from them ? how is it as compared to packages that you received from other universities.
Re: Re: Good MBA Schools I understand that the ERAU MBA is no longer available via DL or EC and has been replaced with a MS Management.

Another good school for online MBA is University of North Alabama. http://www.worldwidelearn.com/una/online-mba-degrees.htm http://www.colsouth.edu/una Tuition is affordable. $900.00/course and 11 courses to complete. All the courses are supplemented by Lecture DVD's (need not pay for this). SACS accredited (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) ACBSP accredited (Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs Established in 1830 - Alabama's Oldest State University In my recent conversation (6months back) i was told that UNA was in the initial/internal discussions to go for AACSB.
This program dose sound really good. Do you know when the starting dates for the program are and how fast can the program be completed? I could not find that information on the web site. Thanks
I'm enrolled in the Professional MBA program at UMass which can be completed 100% online. I would highly recommend this AACSB-accredited program. The link is http://intra.som.umass.edu/mba/. A little more expensive than UNA at $1,800 per 3 hour course. 12 courses to complete the program. Best of luck in your search!
