university of london (English Language)

    HI..........
    I am an English Language teacher from Saudi Arabia.
    I want to apply for a master degree in Education.

    do i need to bring something like TOEFL certificate.
    or is my BA in English Languge enough ?!

    Sorry for not being especially helpful but I think you'll get a more accurate and authoritative answer to your question if you ask it to the school admissions staff, not us.

    Did I read in one of Dr. Bear's guides that in order to study for the Master's at UOL one has to have obtained a Bachelor's there first?

    i understand that very well. i e-mailed the programme staff and they said " we r sorry we cant inform you until you are formally applied"

    so i am here looking for an informal way form experienced members.

    If you have done BA in english in "english medium"... you need not take TOEFL. But as you know brits can be anal sometimes and may ask you to take TOEFL after approval.

    Such used to be the case. Not now however.

    Increasingly, U of L masters are very much available to graduates of humble colleges, including the DL kind popular here. I suppose the key difference is that these are tought masters degrees - i.e., American style materials with set course requirements - and thus the total range of subjects offered are more limited than
    they may have.
