Competition for the University of London?

School of Law - Open Learning 4yr LLB Hons Degree

    http://law.unn.ac.uk/courses.asp?pageID=6

    Course Description

The LLB by Open Learning is a four year course although students who have particular prior learning and qualifications may be able to complete the course in three years.

This degree is ideal for those students who are unable to attend an institution on a full-time or weekly part-time basis. It is designed so that students can complete their studies on an entirely open learning basis. However, students also have the opportunity to attend two study weeks per year at no extra cost.

The LLB by Open Learning is a qualifying law degree which provides exemption from the academic stage of training for solicitors and barristers

The U of London external LLB program is as old as dirt - any new program could be described as competition.
