I think alot of people have also failed tests. I failed CLEP American Government. How many other people have failed tests? and what were the test failed? Thanks
This is a really good question/topic. I am just about to make the jump and start CLEPping myself... So, to expand the topic in a relevant sort of way, here's some additional questions for the crowd: If you failed, was it close? Or way off? Did you feel there was a misconception of the content of the exam? Or maybe just not prepared enough for the exam? Did you pass the exam on the next try? Thanks in advance.
I failed Business Law, passed many others. I usually study up for tests, but bus law was mostly case studies and hypotheticals. The last one I took and passed was reading instruction for elementary school; 6 upper level undergrad credits. but a graduate school M Ed student should be able to pass that one. It may help with certification.
I failed the British driving licence test. I'd been driving for 18 years, including two on the "wrong" side. And I got high marks, except for the notorious "backing up around a corner" part of the test. I still have, on my wall, my "Notification of Failure to Pass Driving Examination" certificate. (I took a half hour lesson at the local driving school, focused on this maneuver, and then passed.)
I failed the CLEP Biology exam. Needed a 50 and got a 46. I studied for it. A lot had to do with the test center at the University. It was very full and noisy. Other students were taking language CLEP's and had the volume up on the computer headsets so loud that everyone could here. Also, there were several people who were clearing their throats constantly and hacking up their lungs. When I complained, the test administrator gave me ear plugs and said that there was really nothing they could do. I finished my test and left in disgust. Afterwards, I called the CLEP people and they said the center was wrong. They advised me that I should have stop the test immediately and told the administrator that I could not continue due to the noise and distractions. CLEP said that the center could then have rescheduled me at no additional charge.
I failed the following tests: CLEP American Government - I did study but the information I studied was not on the test. I failed by about three to five points. Prin of Finance - needed a 46 and got a 42 - did not study at all World Geo - needed a 48 and got a 46 - did not study at all Money and Banking - don't remember what I got but I did not study at all The tests I did pass are: ECE Research Methods in Psy CLEP English w/essay ECE Production/Operation Mgt DANTES Ethics DANTES MIS ECE Labor relations CLEP History and Social Science DANTES Here’s to you Health DANTES – HR Management DANTES Tech Writing DANTES Intro to Business DANTES Intro to Computing DANTES Organizational Behav DANTES Envir and Humanity DANTES Intro to Criminal Justice DANTES Intro to Law Enforcement CLEP Humanities CLEP English without essay CLEP Analy and Interp Lit CLEP History I CLEP General Math CLEP Sociology
When would you ever need to back up around a corner? How Strange is that? Oh I get it!!! You guys back up the ramps. I have seen this on TV
IIRC, I failed (or barely passed) DANTES Vietnam War test. It focused a lot on France's involvement in Vietnam, which I wasn't at all prepared for.
------------------------------------ On the ones you passed, witch did you study at all, and witch not. If did what study source did you use? study guide, book, etc.
I did pass this one (high 50 something), but it was the hardest CLEP I have taken. This is the only CLEP that took me the entire 90 minutes (I've taken about 15). This was a hard one too! I did pass it when I was 17, but I had been driving in the States since I was 13 (lived on a farm) and I think the instructor "fancied me." Trust a fellow supralapse to say this .
I going to take the fifth on this question. OK, if you really want to know, let's just say the University of Illinois thought my cumulative grade point average indicated that I needed me to take some time off from school.
CLEP Biology Exam I am choosing between taking a distance learning Biology course and the Biology Clep. I have not taken any CLEP exams. I am intrigued by the thought of studying and taking a CLEP. Can anyone share their success at passing this exam, ie college text, study guides, or test preparation? How long did you study, considering this is a 6 credit test? Also, I have enjoyed reading the comments on this site. Info from this site helped me make a decison to enroll in TESC after I pass a few exams. I have 98 credits and I am more motivated than ever to to get the BSBA degree. Thank-You.
Haven't failed any. However, for the person who asked any that were close to failing, of the 8 I've taken thus far, CLEP Business Law and CLEP Accounting were the two that gave me the most trouble (a 53 and a 54).
I received a lousy score on the LSAT - 364. Seven months later I aced the GMAT. I was never meant to be a lawyer. As for my other tests - no failures.
