    Hi,
LSU seems to meet all your prereqs. The tuition is amongst the cheapest out there at $211 per 3 credit course and they offer remedial math and eng comp 1 through independent study that can be started at any time.

    Good luck,
    Tony

BTW, financial aid can not be used in this case. However, the cost is more than reasonable.

    Greetings.

First an addendum to your previous reply:
More information on Louisiana State University's "Independent Study" offerings can be found at the following URL: www.is.lsu.edu/

For information on their non-credit courses, which include what could be called remedial courses, look here: www.is.lsu.edu/college/noncredit

As you will observe, LSU's non-credit courses (some of which might be considered remedial, although others aren't) are even cheaper than their for-credit courses. I highly recommend their English courses -- one of which your humble chronicler has himself taken, although you can be forgiven for not noticing <g>. I doubt you could find better courses at any price, and I doubt you could find better prices for any courses ($110, plus books, postage, etc.)

They also offer non-credit math courses at low cost, but I was quite unimpressed with the two math courses I took. Of course, that could just be me.

In addition to their non-credit college courses, LSU, and Brigham Young University (another major source of DL courses, see http://ce.byu.edu/is/site/catalog/) also offer high-school level courses. The range is considerable, and the price appealing. I have no experience with these courses, however.

    Good luck!

    Cordially,
    Richard Kanarek

P.S. I confess: I have absolutely no idea what a "fafsa" is or what one does with one. <g>

I need to find a distance education school that has variable terms ie i can apply and start school soon instead of waiting till the start of next semester so that i can get a remedial math class and composition I out of the way. I might have one more remedial math class after that or maybe not in which case i would move on to the local community college for pursual of a IT networking certificate.

I would really prefer to not have to pay a fee to apply. I just requested my FAFSA pin and should have it in email any day now.

i would appreciate any help people can give me. i am in texas and tested out to the levels of Composition I and some type of remedial math class. i just need to be sure those classes are good for community college here too.

and i hope the classes are inexpensive.

    thank you
