A friend needs to take a few criminal justice courses to apply for a police academy. Where would you recommend? Cheap, quick, RA, multiple guess exams. California resident if that makes a difference.

She knows about DANTE but doubts her ability to pass an exam with a course. Yes, I told her the DANTE exams are not difficult.

    Thanks in advance.

If she is a Cali girl then a local CC might be the trick. I have 6 CC's within 20 minutes drive of my home. Several of them offer 8 week courses in many of their normal 16 week semester courses. At $18 per credit that will be the cheapest option.

Another option would be Independent Study courses from LSU or OSU. The course work is designed for a full semseter, but it is more than possible to wrap it up quicker. These options are a little more pricey, with LSU being the less expensive.

I keep getting emails from Kaplan College and their School of Criminal Justice. I don't know if this helps but thought I'd pass it along.

Trust me....if your friend can't pass DANTES Intro to Law Enforcement & Intro to Criminal Justice, she has no business applying to a police academy.

    Logically, no. Practically, yes.
