Is Cultural Anthropology a behavioral science?

Not really, it is more of a Social Science IMO. The definitions become blurry at times.

    See http://www.nsf.gov/sbe/ for an idea.

From this you might argue that it is. However, to me, the conotation of "cultural" is for from that of "behavioral."

    hmmmmm...

    Thanks for the reply.

    Here's my reason...

Excelsior has an Associate of Applied Science in Administrative/Management Studies. I have all the requirements except possibly the "Behavioral Science".

In the near future, there is a promotion opportunity coming up, and it is supervisory (Supervisory Consumer Safety Inspector). I don't have time for course-work (maybe not even a CLEP).

I understand that an Associate Degree is considered somewhat "basic" but quite honestly the educational level of many of my "associates" (and rivals) is minimal.

I'm working on a BGS from Fort Hays State U but it will be a while before I finish that.

It may work. My wife's community collge counts that class as both a social and behavioral science. With Excelsior though, it really is a crap shoot.

Since you need something fast an exam is going to be your only option.

I found the CLEP and DANTES psychology exams to be very easy. In fact, I have no formal or work related experience in the subject and I passed 3 psych exams with two days of study. Granted, I retain information well, but I think most would agree that these are not difficult exams.

    to CMT

I just received an email from Excelsior saying that they would accept ANT 101 as a Behavioral Science. That saves me a bit of hassle trying to test for the requirement.
