Has anyone had any experience in doing portfolio for religious studies courses??? IF so, how did that go? Also, has any of you ministers out there used the knowledge that you have from that experience for portfolio credits at a one of the big 3 or otherwise. drew
Knowledge? What knowledge? Oh. Sorry. Seriously, no, I've never tried to "portfolio" prior religious studies. Many denominational seminaries will accept other (extradenominational) seminary work at par, or accept a prior degree in toto while requiring additional work in the form of a colloquy year or guided independent study. This is often a response to denominational requirements rather than school requirements per se. Good luck to you.
