Salem International University

    Hello,

    I am looking into the DL MBA program at Salem International University and from what I have been reading so far it looks pretty good. How well respected is this school? Anybody on here have anymore info on SIU?

    I'm not sure I understand your post. Salem International University is a regionally accredited (North Central Association) university located in Salem, WV.

    They do have some interesting eccentricities associated with their Japanese owners. However, many private schools have such issues (people controlling the school from behind the scene, etc.).

    Thanks you the input guy. I am thinking of taking my MBA through purpletrain.com. This company also offers a DL MBA program form the University of Wales that sounds really good and is very well priced. I a bit about the history and reputation of Uni of Wales but I am not too sure about this company.

    I think there was some discussion regarding this college on this forum. From what I read, I dont see positive info but that was a little while back. They were involved with Teiko Japan group ( or something) which had not so good reputation and now are affiliated with Informatics.

    I personally would stick with institutions in US/Canada and avoid those regions where there are more chances of fraud. I am not sure on the status of their accreditation now. Maybe their reputation has changed and someone else can provide more info on them now. I would also be interested in knowing about them. There is one article that found which does not sound good..

    Salem international university is part own by informatics group holding, a mainboard listed public company on the stock exchange of Singapore.

    it is probably one of the giant education group in the world with a global network of more then 450 centers in 44 countries and a current market capitalization of more than S$470 million.

    purpletrain.com is the elearning training arm of informatics started in y2k to provide online degree and diploma courses.
