This is extremely useful information. Thank you, Dean.

There has been a real vacuum in enlightened ranting in these matters since the wonderful Carlos Pestana, M.D., Ph.D., gave up writing and updating his excellent books on nontraditional medical schools, 6 or 7 years ago.

There used to be a few entirely legitimate medical schools (such as the University of Miami) that had a two-year MD for people who already had advanced training in the sciences that make up much of the first two years of a four-year MD. Wonder why those have been (as best I can tell) discontinued.

That's wonderful (and scary) information about the medical school that awards an "M.D." that stands for "Master's Degree." Reminiscent of the man busted for listing himself as "John Smith, BA MD" which really meant, he said, that he got his Bachelor's degree from Maryland.
