    Hello all,
I am a 35 year old Australian man living in Thailand. I am interested in doing an online degree (with "real" accreditation) in education. It can be either Associate or Bachelor level (preferably Bachelor). The degrees could be either Arts, Science or Education. The degree could be taken either over the internet or by correspondence.
Does anyone out there know of a genuine degree that I could do?
    Cheers......

Since you live in a different country I am thinking it will matter what sort of licensing you need where you live. You should look up your rules first for where you live. In the US I know that there are a few schools offering legit accredited degrees in education that lead to teacher licensure. They are

    Liberty University
    Rio Salado
    University of Phoenix

I only know about UOP b/c that is where I attend. I am getting my Masters in Elementary Ed which does lead to elementary ed licensure in my state.

    Indiana State University

Indiana State University allows you to achieve a complete Bachelors or Associates Degree completely by distance. International Students are welcome.

Excelsior might be able to help also.... You could also do both by transferring Indiana State University credits into Excelsior.

Holly offers quite good advice. My guess would be that there is a significant advantage for you to do it with an Australian university in terms of licensing. Lucky you, there are a number of Australian universities that do offer the B.Ed. via distance learning.
