This university is accredited by the ACICS. This agency is recognized under GAAP. The fact that it is accredited by this legitimate agency seems to make me believe the university is legitimate itself. University of Northern Virginia is listed in the ACICS list of accredited institutions.

Of course, I'm not a lawyer. However, I don't believe this school is a fraud. Hope this helps!:)

    UNVA

I am an adjunct at the UNVA Taipei facilities. UNVA is fully accredited by the ACICS since April 2003. It has a pretty good MBA program (42 credit units=14x3) which can be done entirely through D/L. As a student, you can expect to get the best support from the main campus (from faculty as well as administrative staffs).

I have lived in Virginia the majority of my life and I've never heard of this school.

The school is not RA. It is accredited by ACICS, which is of course one of the lesser-known recognized accreditation agencies. The utility of ACICS schools is generally lower than that of RA schools.

The University does have a nice new facility right off I-66, in Manassas, Virginia. It looks like a high-tech office building rather than a typical university.

I don't know anything about the school, but I have heard that they have paired up with the National Security Agency to offer those employees an IT security certificate program. If that's correct, then they are likely a decent school for an IT-related degree.
