Hello anybody knows about a cheap Library Science or Bibliotechology Masters degree? totally online Ra preferabily thank you
Try the University of Southern Mississippi at http://www-dept.usm.edu/~slis/SLISonline.htm. They're about the cheapest I've come across, and they're totally online. They're also accredited by the American Library Association, which is a must in the library world.
The ALA website has a list of ALA accredited distance education opportunities. Just follow the education and careers link at the top of the page.
There are a lot of online MLS degrees. If you do a google search you'll find them. THere are at least 10 that I know of. Make sure it is ALA accredited.
The ALA lists them: http://www.ala.org/Template.cfm?Section=lisdir&Template=/ContentManagement/ContentDisplay.cfm&ContentID=24819 If you want to work in a library the appropriate accrediting body for Library Science is the ALA. All of the ads I have seen, including those in the Chronicle require an ALA accredited degree.
