Hello, I am helping a friend who graduated from a business school that has since gone out of business. He feels he can pass IT testing but I am not aware of testing options in this area. He is following the TESC guidelines for a degree and the BA IN 4 WEEKS. He is starting at scratch, with FEMA credits -of course. Ideas for this area of testing greatly appreciated. Thanks . Hille

    gg360,

This your second post on this forum and also your second post on this site praising Instantcert.com. By any chance, do you work for the company? Also, what are the benefits of that discount code? Can you elaborate?

are there other sites and/or books/materials that allow for CLEP exam preparation ? Which book/site is recommended ? I am looking for such material that will allow me to study the material and be able to take the exam.

    Thanks.

    Re: TESC - Testing options

Does TESC charge a fixed yearly fees ? Can one register for a small amount like Excelsior allows ? For International students TESC yearly cost is a lot ($2440 or something) and as far as I know it does not allow any exams. Does TESC has all the courses online to complete the program ?

What test are you thinking of taking?

I have found all the books from REA to be very useful as well as the COMEX books.

An easy method I have used is as follows-

Goto the DANTES site and take the practice test. If you get more than half of the question right than go for it.

The next method would be to goto the site that lists the passing rate for the military . Start with the exams with a high passing rate and if you know something about the topic- go for it!

I passed quite a few (over 15 tests) in a short period of time (about 2 months). I also studies a little for 2 or three of them and a BS from CCU that help with 3 or 4 of them.

But over all, I was able to pass about 10 test in 2 months by using just the methods described above without any study.

I am lacking Social Sciences, Humanities credits and Natural Science credits. I will be attempting those first. But the only option I have is to take CLEP. DANTES is not available in Canada.

Here are the exams I took and the books I used.
    Social Sciences-
CLEP History and Social Science , CLEP History I , CLEP Sociology

    Humanities-
CLEP Analyzing and Interrupting Lit , CLEP Humanities

Hope this helps. The Sociology and History tests were probably the easiest of these five.

    Good luck.
