Here is a topic that should clarify why choose one over the other:

The following are all AACSB accredited and online, so what makes one better than the other:

    - Indiana Univ
    - Arizona State Univ
    - Univ of Florida
    - UMass Amherst

Some people here say that IU and ASU are top30 schools in US.

I want to say that their Online MBA progs are not top30 or top anything. There is no ranking yet for Online prgrams.

Since they all most likely use the same books, same discussion board formats, same cases and same supports why would IU or ASU be better????

They are not in my opinion. If you want to spend some extra money for no reason then yes go there.

I agree fot the most part. If the school is not very highly ranked (Harvard), as long as the accreditation is the same, who cares.... but some other things should be considered.

I would consider how long they have been online, and you have stated that in another thread.... beta testing is a pain.

I do think though that an MBA is worth something and does give some skills (referencing your other post), especially if you do not have an undergrad in business.

    Sam:

I am sure I speak for many when I say that I am glad that you are enjoying your experience at UMass and that is great that you feel the program is meeting your needs. Isenberg offers a good program. Please share more specific information concerning your experience.

The truth is they do not all offer the same books, courses, cases, support, cohorts and impetus; therefore, the simple answer to your question is that some schools are better for this, and some schools are better for that.

The bottom line is that everyone has different needs, preferences and expectations. I see no reason to insist that what turned out to be a good choice for you is the best choice for everyone.
